Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Verity Vista collects through verityvista.org and our booking site, why, and what happens to it. We keep this simple on purpose: we’re not selling your data or handing it to advertisers.
1. What we collect
When you book a session on our booking site (booking.verityvista.org), we collect your name, email, phone number, the session you chose, its date and location, how many people are coming, any ages or notes you share, and the name you sign the session agreement with. We also note whether you allow your photos to be used promotionally.
If your photographer sends a pre-session questionnaire, we keep the answers you give. If you leave a review after your session, we keep your rating, your words, and how you asked your name to be shown. When you use the contact form, email, or call us, we keep what you send so we can reply.
We don’t take payment online, so we never see or store card or bank details. You pay your photographer at the session by cash, Venmo, or PayPal, and those services handle that payment under their own privacy policies.
2. Who sees it
Verity Vista is a group of independent photographers. When you book, your details go to the photographer you booked (or who was matched to you), so they can contact you and plan your session. The site owner can also see bookings in order to reassign one if your photographer becomes unavailable, and you’ll be told if that happens.
Booking and review data is kept on our own server, not on a third-party scheduling service. Booking confirmations and reminders are delivered by Brevo, an email delivery service, which handles the messages under its own privacy policy. Photographers can choose to see their bookings in their personal calendar app (such as Google or Apple Calendar), which then holds a copy of those booking details.
3. How we use it
We use your information to schedule and prepare for your session, send confirmations, reminders and your questionnaire, deliver your photos, ask for a review afterward, and answer questions. We never sell it to anyone.
About a year after your session, we send one short email letting you know it’s been a year, with a link to book again. Every one of these includes an unsubscribe link that stops them for good. Apart from that yearly note, we don’t send marketing emails or texts.
Each client has a personal referral link. If a friend books with it, the booking records that they were referred, and after their session we email you a thank-you discount code. We don’t tell your friend anything about you beyond what they already know from your link. Gift card and discount codes you use are stored with your booking.
4. Reviews
Reviews are optional. You choose whether yours may be shown publicly, and whether your name appears as your first name and last initial, your first name only, or Anonymous. Every review is read and approved before it appears on this site. If you ask that your review stay private, it’s shared only with your photographer and the site owner and is never published. Your email and phone number are never shown with a review.
5. Photos and portfolio use
Photos from your session may appear in your photographer’s portfolio, on this website, or on social media, per the image rights described in our Terms of Service. If you’d rather your session stay private, you can decline promotional use on the booking form, or tell your photographer at any time, and your photos will be left out of anything public.
6. Cookies and analytics
This site does not run analytics, ad trackers, or advertising cookies. The booking site uses a single session cookie to keep its forms secure, and Cloudflare, which protects this site from abuse, may set a security cookie. Your light or dark mode choice is remembered in your own browser. If any of this changes, this page will be updated first.
7. Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, including your booking details, questionnaire answers, and reviews, by emailing us. We’ll take care of it promptly. Information you’ve sent through Venmo or PayPal is managed through those services.
